Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 4000
Export presentations to "SVG wrapped in SMIL"
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:21:02 UTC
At present, one can export an individual presentation slide into SVG. However, there is now way to export the series of slides into SVG, ie, to have some sort of links set up among the individual slides to step along them. Just the same way as the web export does with exporting into web pages. There are several advantages: - the pages themselves (if only the viewBox attribute is used) are automatically rescalable in contrast to the fixed resolution images one has to use with the current web export - the files might become smaller if the svg export is smart enough - part of the animation and transition effects can be reproduced - the end viewer can easily zoom into some details of a drawing, for example I am not familiar with the code of openoffice.org, nor do I have the time to familiarize myself with the code to implement this. But I am an expert in SVG, and I would be happy to help in the format of the generated SVG file, if needed.

I did a quick query of IssueZilla and I dont see any issues that mention Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language, SMIL for short, pronounced 'smile' :) http://www.w3.org/AudioVideo/ http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-smil/ I would think the best (most standards compliant) way to do what is proposed here would be to export SVG wrapped in SMIL. if you agree please add + SMIL to the summary. i would also suggest changing the OS and Platform to All
Add export to "SVG wrapped in SMIL" to Impress export filters. SMIL: Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language, SMIL for short, pronounced 'smile' :) http://www.w3.org/AudioVideo/ http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-smil/
